Moving Paint: Expanding Your Vision with Oil and Cold Wax
Join Lisa Pressman in beautiful San Miguel de Allende, Mexico
This 4-day workshop is focused on approaching painting and the creative process using R&F pigments sticks, drawing supplies, oil, cold wax, pan pastels and more. Lisa will focus on materials, supports, opacity and transparency of paint, layering, texture, composition and finishing a painting. She also addresses inspiration, historical references and creating a personal visual language.
“What I bring to teaching is my years of experience with conceptually-driven abstraction and the love of layers of materials. All of my teaching concentrates on content, creativity, art making and of course, technique, with an emphasis on helping students to discover their unique marks and concepts. Many artists who attend my workshops want and need to revisit the fundamentals of art, including color, composition, and mark making. We cover these important aspects of what makes a painting hold together.”
I can’t think of a better venue for studying with Lisa Pressman than in San Miguel de Allende. I live here full-time and am inspired by the town’s beauty and warmth and every day.
